ExaBytes.com looks like a website that was made in the early 2000s, and it functions about as well as one as well. This means that it’s extremely outdated for sure.
It’s no good.
When you have a website that looks incredibly outdated, that basically means that you’re going to be running into a brick wall from the very start. It’s not a good sign.
An outdated layout with a ton of garish colors is a surefire sign that you’re going to be running into some issues here…and that’s exactly the kind of layout this site has.
Background Info You Don’t Want
When it comes to ExaBytes information, you’re going to be running on empty, mostly because this particular host just can’t take the time to even have a single page up.
It doesn’t talk about itself.
Not knowing a single thing about the website that you’re using is a problem. You’re basically not going to end up having the information you need to make an informed decision.
With that in mind, it’s going to be troublesome to justify spending any amount of money here, let alone a solid chunk that’s actually going to help you get pretty far.
Site-Building Features to Miss
The idea of our ExaBytes guide being able to reveal anything that actually stands out as a solid feature is a joke. This site definitely doesn’t have anything close to that.
It’s nothing but basics.
With this particular site, you’re going to be lucky to go beyond the most basic of basics…and that’s because beyond cPanel, all you’re really going to get is MySQL access.
That’s not good enough for an up and coming business. You don’t even get a site builder here, which is really not the sort of thing that you’re going to want to be without.
There’s No Niche
There’s nothing about this very generic hosting site that’s going to end up standing out for you and your business, which is definitely going to put a damper on your plans.
It’s just not good enough.
If you’re hunting around for a web host that can give you something unique or interesting, it’s not going to be this one. This host is incredibly cookie cutter in every way.
With that in mind, it’s mostly going to end up being a huge problem for you to actually buy from this host to begin with. It just blends into the crowds, so why bother?
Plan Pricing You Won’t Like
While a budget-friendly hosting site is obviously the ideal, that’s not going to ever end up being something that happens with this particular web host. It’s just not cheap.
You don’t get much.
Even their most basic hosting plan here is going to end up costing you a total of $17.96 monthly, which is obviously already on the higher side and not at all ideal for you.
You’re not getting much for that price, either, as you’re already limited with only 1GB of disk space. This is just going to end up being a limiter and something you burn through.
Security That Sucks
As with any hosting site, security is one of the first things that you should end up focusing on. Sadly, that doesn’t seem to be any kind of a focus with this particular host.
They don’t talk about it.
When it comes to this particular web host, you’re just not going to even find a single page talking about security. This is because they don’t seem to even care about it.
At least, that’s all you’ll be able to assume from their lack of care. They also don’t offer any sort of SSL certificate plans here, which means you’ll have to source those elsewhere.
Speed? There’s No Way
Our ExaBytes review was already in shambles, which was why it was no surprise that our speed test rating was only a 3 out of 10 on our rating scale for this horrible site.
It wasn’t good.
After performing a standardized speed test, we found that this particular host took a total of 6.66 seconds to load up entirely, which was obviously well below average.
This site also has some uptime issues, which were shown very clearly in the low uptime percentage of only 98.105%. This means that close to 2% of the time, your site will be down.
A Lack of Support
After performing a thorough customer service review, we could only give this site a 3 out of 10 on our rating scale courtesy of the very slow service and poor tech knowledge.
It’s really that awful.
This site takes close to 5 days to actually end up getting back to you, and even then, you’re going to be faced with responses that are really not doing the job they should.
You’ll get a lot of generic drop down menu responses as well as just completely incorrect ones, and they’ll never actually address the downtime issues that they have.
Their support page isn’t going to give you anything good: https://support.exabytes.com/KB/browse.aspx
Skip their blog, because it’s really just a lot of useless info: http://blog.exabytes.com/
Their support site here isn’t any better, seriously: https://support.exabytes.com/Main/frmNewTicket.aspx?InstanceID=dbf46517-ca74-42a0-9fef-e270036b0b7b
ExaBytes.com: For Cpanel Hosting, It’s Just Not Going to be Enough
The more time that we spent with ExaBytes.com, the less we liked it. This is just not a good hosting site.
Rather than waste your time here, you should be spending it all on our number one cPanel hosting site, GreenGeeks.com. It’s definitely at the top of its game, and it can help you.
